A WEEK BUILT FOR BASEBALL

Cooperstown All Star Village isn’t just a tournament site — it’s a resort built around a week of baseball, and there’s something here for everyone who made the trip. Fan Appreciation Day, family activities running all week long, premium experiences like Home Run Dugout and the Clubhouse Suite, a world-class dining lineup, and everything in between. Players get the week of their lives. Everybody else gets one too.

Your team is guaranteed at least seven games throughout the week. Pool play establishes seeding, after which every team advances to single-elimination bracket play. Based on pool results, teams are placed into one of three brackets — the Championship bracket, the Cooper bracket, or the Monster bracket — each running as its own single-elimination tournament with its own title on the line.

As an all-turf complex, we’re built to keep games on schedule. No rainouts waiting on soggy infields, no wondering whether the day’s slate gets scrapped — just fewer weather delays and more guaranteed baseball.

The week begins with Opening Ceremonies and the longstanding tradition of the Parade of Teams as squads take the field at Cooperstown All Star Village. This is the one part of the week that’s for everyone — players, parents, grandparents, little brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, and every friend who made the trip. Bring the signs, bring the noise, bring the matching shirts, because the Team Spirit Award goes to the best fan section of the night, presented right there at the close of ceremonies.

Our weekly MLB Event Ambassador is part of it all, too. He spends time with players and coaches, but he’s just as happy to talk with the families in the stands — a chance to swap stories with someone who’s lived the game at the highest level.

By the time the last team takes the field, the week is officially underway.

Coaches nominate players to represent the team in three timed events: the Home Run Derby, Turn Two (double plays), and Fastest Player (base running). Qualifying runs 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the finalists earn a spot under the lights immediately after Opening Ceremonies, competing in front of thousands with the whole week still ahead of them.

Every player and coach gets a free ticket to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, included in your package. It’s a short drive from campus in the birthplace of baseball: Ruth’s bat, Robinson’s jersey, and the plaques of every player ever enshrined, all in one building — during a week your team is already chasing a title of its own.

Each opening day brings a decorated former Big Leaguer to the Village — past ambassadors include Dontrelle Willis, Jake Peavy, and many more. He jumps into the Skills Competition alongside the players, celebrates with the finalists, judges the Team Spirit Award, signs autographs, and sits down with coaches for a private Q&A at the coaches’ meeting. Firsthand Big League experience, up close, for a kid who’s dreaming about it.

Teams stay together in air-conditioned bunkhouses that sleep 16–20, with twin bunk beds for players and three full beds for coaches, plus Wi-Fi throughout. The bunkhouses sit inside the Player Village: a secure, 24/7 staffed area accessible only to players, coaches, and staff with team wristbands. It’s the part of the week players remember most — a full week living under one roof with their team.

Fuel up at our full-service dining hall, located behind the Clubhouse restaurant. Dinner is served on Day 1, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served the rest of the week.
