Become an Umpire

Umpires are essential to the integrity of each tournament week. At Cooperstown All Star Village, you’ll officiate high-level youth baseball while being fully supported, fairly compensated, and immersed in the complete Village experience.

THE EXPERIENCE

  • Officiate a premier international youth baseball tournament

  • Participate in Opening Ceremonies and signature Village events

  • Call a minimum of three games per day at $75 per game

  • Six nights of lodging in the on-site Umpire Barracks

  • Three meals per day are provided starting Day 2 of the tournament

  • Two official Under Armour umpire polos (Black and Powder Blue)

  • Under Armour short-sleeve pullover and official umpire hat

  • Complimentary ticket to the National Baseball Hall of Fame

  • Exclusive Cooperstown All Star Village ring

  • Championship ring for umpires selected to officiate the final game

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Umpires must be 18 years old or older.

  • Umpires must be in good standing with a current association.

  • Umpires must submit an Umpire Application form, a background check, and be approved by Cooperstown All Star Village prior to attending.

 

 

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

  • On-Field Equipment – Polished black athletic shoes, black socks, charcoal gray slacks, black belt, indicator, pencil, rain jacket, plate gear (mask, chest protector, shin guards, plate shoes, brush).

  • Barracks Essentials – Twin-sized bedding, toiletries, towels, shower shoes, leisure clothing, and any personal items for the week.
